New Mexico State University Athletics

2009-10 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Martinez competed on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard in the home opening weekend against Northern Arizona/Northern Colorado (Oct. 30-31). 

2008-09 (Freshman): In her first season at NM State, Martinez joined the Aggie diving squad. In the second consecutive win over in-state rival New Mexico (Jan. 28), she competed on the 1-meter springboard.

High School: Martinez arrived in Las Cruces after graduating from Santa Fe High School. In addition to diving under head coach Jim Weyhrauch, she also lettered in volleyball, softball and track for the Demonettes. Martinez spent nine years competing in gymnastics with the Albuquerque Gymnastics School and head coach Joe Camacho after getting her start at the Zia Gym. In her successful gymnastics career, Martinez was a level 6 state champion and a bronze medalist as a level 8. 

Personal: She is the daughter of George and Donna Martinez and was born in Santa Fe, N.M. Martinez has not decided on a major.
