2013-14 (SENIOR): Porter etched her name into the NM State record books during her senior season, breaking the Aggie diving record for the platform event after marking a score of 233.75 at the 2014 WAC Championships (Feb. 26-Mar. 1). The score not only broke the team record but also gave Porter a second-place finish during the event, her highest finish in her Aggie career at the conference championships. She also had two lifetime-best scores during her two other events at the WAC Championships, marking a 267.55 in the 1-meter and a 274.60 in the 3-meter. Porter’s scores in the platform and 1-meter events were high enough to qualify her for her first-ever zones meet. She went on to compete at the NCAA Zone E Regional in Colorado Springs, Colo. She also earned Academic All-WAC honors for the third-consecutive season.
2012-13 (JUNIOR): As the veteran of the Aggie divers, Porter led the squad with two lifetime-best scores as a junior. At the 2013 WAC Championships, she scored for the first time. Porter provided points in all three diving events at the conference meet including a seventh-place finish (187.15) on the platform with a personal-best and program-high tally. She earned 13th place on the 3-meter and 15th place on the 1-meter at the WAC meet. Porter also set a lifetime-best score on the 1-meter (244.80) at Idaho (Jan. 18). In the season opener against Air Force (Oct. 13), she swept the diving events and won her first two collegiate events with 219.08 points on the 1-meter and 223.05 on the 3-meter. For her effort, Porter was named WAC Diver of the Week, for Oct. 8-14, and it was her first career conference honor. She also earned Academic All-WAC honors for the second straight season.
2011-12 (SOPHOMORE): As a sophomore, Porter improved both her lifetime-best scores on the springboards. Against Arizona/Oregon State/Iowa/Northern Arizona in Tucson, Ariz., Porter broke her personal-best scores on the 1-meter (236.25) and 3-meter (260.40). She followed that performance with a then lifetime-best mark on the 1-meter (243.23) at Idaho (Jan. 21) with a second-place showing. In the regular season finale at New Mexico (Feb. 4), Porter scored a personal-best score (262.13) on the 3-meter. At the 2012 WAC Championships, Porter recorded her first top 20 showing with an 18th-place finish on the 1-meter board, and she competed on the platform (166.90). She also earned Academic All-WAC honors.
2010-11 (FRESHMAN): In her freshman campaign, Porter competed on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards for the Crimson and White. She set her season-best mark at Northern Colorado (Jan. 21) on the 1-meter (224.25). Porter recorded her season-best showing on the 3-meter board (234.90) in the regular season finale against New Mexico en route to the Aggies winning their fourth consecutive meet over their in-state rivals.
HIGH SCHOOL: Porter joined the Aggies as a diver from Langley, Canada. In 2009-10, Porter was a junior and senior qualifier on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. In both 2007-08 and 2008-09, she finished in the top three at provincials.
PERSONAL: Porter is the daughter of Shawn and Lori Porter and was born in Langley, British Columbia. Porter is in the pre-nursing program.
