2013-14 (JUNIOR): Schweitzer swam five different individual events during her junior campaign, including the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 fly, 200 Individual Medley (IM) and 400 IM, while also swimming in the 200-medley and 400-medley relay teams. She began the season by marking points for the Aggies during their first two dual meets, first versus the Air Force (Oct. 25) after finishing fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:37.64 and then with a fifth-place finish in the 200 fly against Northern Colorado (Nov. 2) with a time of 2:13.62.
During the Phil Hansel Invitational in Houston (Nov. 21-23), Schweitzer swam all five of her individual events, finishing in the top 25 in all five, including a 15th-place finish in the 200 breast after swimming a season-best 2:24.50 in the preliminary round. In fact, Schweitzer had all of her best times of the season in Houston including 1:08.75 in the 100 breast, 2:08.55 in the 200 fly, 2:10.72 in the 200 IM and 4:37.23 in the 400 IM. At the conclusion of season she would earn Academic All-WAC honors for the third-consecutive year.
2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): As a sophomore, Schweitzer continued to improve and trimmed seconds off of her personal-best times. She set four lifetime-best times in 2012-13. At the Houston Invitational (Nov. 15-17), Schweitzer recorded best times in the 100 breast (1:07.64), 200 fly (2:06.95) and 400 IM (4:27.77) along with a season-best mark in the 200 IM (2:09.99). At the 2013 WAC Championships, she posted a lifetime best in the 200 breast (2:22.82). Schweitzer earned three top 21 finishes at the conference meet. She was 15th in the 200 breast, 20th in the 200 fly and 21st in the 400 IM. Schweitzer also swam on the 200-medley and 400-medley relays teams for the Aggies throughout the season. Outside of the water, she earned Academic All-WAC honors.
2011-12 (FRESHMAN): In her first season with the Aggies, Schweitzer competed in the breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley events. She scored for NM State in her first WAC Championships with a ninth-place finish in the 400 IM (4:30.29), which was also a season-best time. Schweitzer posted a season-best mark in the 100 breast (1:08.19) and finished in 22nd place in the 200 breast at the conference meet. At the Houston Invitational (Nov. 17-19), she recorded three season-best times in the 200 breast (2:24.99), 200 fly (2:07.06) and 200 IM (2:08.74). Schweitzer also helped the Aggies in the 200-medley and 400-medley relays as a freshman. She also earned Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Schweitzer joined the Aggies from Highlands Ranch, Colo., and swam for the Denver Hilltoppers and coach Shawn Smith. She specialized in the breaststroke, butterfly and IM events. At Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo., Schweitzer led the Jaguars to the 2009 state championship. She also captured second place in the 100 breast as a junior and sophomore. Schweitzer guided the team to runner-up showing at the state meet in 2008 and 2010.
PERSONAL: Schweitzer is the daughter of Charlie and Elizabeth Schweitzer and was born in Coco Beach, Fla. She is pursuing a degree in biology.
