2012-13 (Senior): In her senior campaign, Philpot broke several personal-best marks. At the 2013 WAC Championships, she set two lifetime-best times. Philpot recorded personal-best swims in the 200 free (1:57.47) and 100 back (59.90). She had season-best performances in the 50 free (25.02), 100 free (54.95) and 200 back (2:08.13). For the second consecutive season, Philpot earned Academic All-WAC honors.
2011-12 (Junior): As a junior, Philpot continued to improve in the water. She posted a lifetime-best time in the 200 back (2:07.56) at the 2012 WAC Championships. Philpot recorded season-best times in the 50 free (25.24), 200 free (1:58.10) and 100 back (1:00.47) at the conference meet. In addition, she was a member of the Aggie relays teams include the 400-free, 800-free and 200-medley relays. Philpot was also successful out of the water and earned Academic All-WAC honors.
2010-11 (Sophomore): In her first season in Las Cruces, Philpot competed in the backstroke and freestyle events for the Aggies. She posted her season-best times at the UNLV Invitational (Dec. 11-13). Philpot finished in 21st place in the 200 free (2:02.36) and 22nd place in the 200 back (2:16.18) at the invitational, where she helped the Aggies take second place in the team standings. She also was a member of the NM State relay teams and swam in the 200-free relay, 800-free relay and 200-medley relay as a sophomore.
At Catawba: As a freshman, Philpot was a backstroke and sprint freestyle specialist at Catawba College, a NCAA Division II school in Salisbury, N.C. Philpot and the Indians finished sixth at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
High School: Philpot was a four-year member of the varsity squad at Kodiak High School in Kodiak, Alaska. As a senior, she guided the Bears to a runner-up finish at the state meet following a Region III title in 2008. Philpot finished fourth at state in the 100 back and was named the region girls most valuable player in 2008. As a junior, she led Kodiak to the region crown and a third-place finish at state in 2007. She was a three-time champion in the 200 free in 2006-08 and a two-time champion in the 100 back in 2007-08. Philpot and the Bears finished second at the region meet in 2006 after a third-place showing in 2005.
Personal: Philpot is the daughter of Tex and Jan Philpot and was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. She is pursuing a degree in kinesiology.
