2009-10 (Senior): In four seasons as an Aggie, Percy has been instrumental in the program’s success including guiding NM State to a runner-up finish at the 2010 WAC Championships, the team’s best showing in school history. Percy set season-best times in the 100 back (57.81), 200 back (2:06.69) and 50 free (24.65) at the league meet. She collected 10th place in the 100 back and 18th place in the 200 back. Percy contributed to the relays as she swam leadoff for the 400-medley relay that finished fifth and the second leg of the 800-free realty that finished sixth. She began her final season at the WAC Shoot-Out (Oct. 9-10) in San Jose, Calif., with fifth place in the 100 back and 200 back. She also swam leadoff for the fourth-place 200-free relay, third-place 200-medley relay, fourth-place 400-free relay and second-place 400-medley relay. In the home opening weekend against Northern Arizona/Northern Colorado (Oct. 31), Percy collected a second-place finish in the 200 back, while she swam leadoff for both the 400-free relay and 200-medley relay that finished second. At New Mexico/Wyoming (Nov. 14), Percy won her first individual event of the season, the 200 back. In addition, she set the pace for the second-place 200-medley relay and then anchored the third-place 400-free relay. At Arizona State (Dec. 19), Percy was the leadoff for the 200-medley relay that finished third. On senior day against Idaho (Jan. 2), Percy claimed top honors in the 100 back, third place in the 200 free and swam leadoff for the victorious 400-free relay in her final home meet. At Boise State (Jan. 30), she was fourth in the 100 back, anchored the 200-free relay that was third and swam leadoff for the 400-medley relay that was second. Percy was named to the Academic All-WAC team for the third consecutive season.
2008-09 (Junior): In her third season with the Aggies, Percy broke the school record in the 200 free (1:51.42) with her lifetime-best performance at the WAC Championships. She also was a member of three relays that broke program records. Percy was the third leg of the 200-free (1:33.55) and 400-free (3:26.12) relays that finished in fifth place. She also swam the second leg of the 800-free relay (7:28.40) at the conference meet that crushed the school record. Percy set a personal-best time in the 100 back (56.46) and 200 back (2:01.96) and directed the Aggies to a third-place finish at the WAC meet with a fifth-place showing in the 200 back and a pair of eighth-place finishes in the 100 back and 200 free. At Houston/Rice (Nov. 6), she scored with a third-place finish in the 200 back and a second-place finish in the 400-medley relay. Percy earned top honors in the 200 back at Northern Arizona (Dec. 6), which helped the Aggies defeat the Lumberjacks for the first time in Flagstaff, Ariz. At San Diego (Dec. 13), she swam leadoff for the victorious 400-free relay along with a runner-up finish in the 200 back. Percy then posted a pair of runner-up finishes in the 200 back and 200-medley relay at Loyola Marymount (Dec. 19). Percy won the 100 back and 200 free at Northern Colorado (Jan. 16). The following day at Colorado State (Jan. 17), she collected a third-place showing in the 200 free and second-place showing in the 200-free relay. In the season finale against New Mexico (Jan. 28), Percy finished second in the 200 back and 200-free relay along with a bronze in the 200 free. For the second consecutive year, she was an Academic All-WAC honoree.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Percy competed in the backstroke and middle distance freestyle events for the Aggies as a sophomore. She earned seven victories, four individual and three relay wins. In the season opener, she was a member of the winning 400-free relay against Northern Colorado/Rice (Oct. 12). At the Northern Arizona/Idaho meet (Nov. 10), Percy took top honors in the 200 back and the 400-free relay. As the first leg in the relay, she was a member of the team that shattered the pool record at NAU with a three-second improvement (3:57.97). Percy followed that performance with a pair of wins against Grand Canyon/Texas Permian Basin (Dec. 1) in the 100 back and 500 free, which were both unrested lifetime-best times. Versus North Texas (Jan. 8), she collected her first win of the season in the 200 free. In the Aggies first-ever victory over Northern Arizona (Feb. 2), Percy contributed to the effort as a member of the winning 800-free relay. She set season-best times at the WAC Championships in the 200 free (1:54.13), 500 free (5:10.23), 200 back (2:07.56) and 800-free relay (7:38.07). Percy finished in the top 20 in both the 200 back and 200 free. As the first leg of the 800-free relay, the team posted a fourth-place finish. Outside of the pool, Percy was named to the Academic All-WAC team.
2006-07 (Freshman): In her first season with NM State, Percy was a contributor for the Aggies as she competed in the backstroke events. At her first WAC Championships, Percy placed ninth in the 200 back and 13th in the 100 back. Percy’s time of 2:06.03 in the 200 back was the ninth fastest time in the league. Her time of 59.24 in the 100 back was the 14th fastest time in the WAC. Percy was named to the Academic All-WAC Freshmen team.
High School: Percy graduated from Holy Names High School in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Before coming to Las Cruces, Percy swam for the Windsor Aquatics Club and head coach Rod Agar for 11 years. She holds the 15-and-over girls’ club record in the 50 back, 100 back and 200 back along with the 4x50-medley and 4x100-medley relays.
Personal: Percy was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and is the daughter of Guy and Janice Percy. She is studying conservation ecology.
