Biography

2013-14 (SENIOR): Seaver concluded her NM State career with a bang after breaking three school records at the 2014 WAC Swimming and Diving Championships en route to picking a gold medal and two second-place finishes.  She joined former Aggie swimmer Aliena Schmidtke as the only NM State swimmers to own three individual school records.  Combined with her three Aggie records as a member of a relay team, Seaver now leads all swimmers in the school’s history with six total school records.

Seaver was the conference champion in the 100 backstroke after finishing the finals with a time of 54.77, eclipsing her own NM State record she had set in 2012.  Seaver finished second during the WAC meet in the 100 butterfly (54.67) and 200 backstroke (1:57.57), both times were also school records for each event.

In all, Seaver had the fastest time of the season for the Aggie squad in five events and she also had the top time in 100 (50.82) and 200 freestyle (1:50.25), both also during the WAC Championships.

Seaver competed in six different events throughout the season for NM State including the 50 free, 100 back, 100 fly, 100 free, 200 back and 200 free.  She also competed in every meet in the season, picking up five wins along the way.  Seaver swept the backstroke events (100 and 200) during NM State’s dual meet with Northern Colorado (Nov. 2) and duplicated the feat a month later against Northern Arizona (Dec. 7).

Seaver also swam the first leg in four out of the five relay teams that had the fastest times in 2014 for the respective relay event.  Seaver also earned honors in the classroom all four years at NM State, culminating with her third-consecutive Academic All-WAC honor in 2014.

2012-13 (JUNIOR): In her third season in the water for the Aggies, Seaver was a leader for the Crimson and White. She was a team captain in 2012-13. Seaver directed the Aggies at the 2013 WAC Championships and competed in three individual event finals. She recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100 back (55.59) with a season-best time and 200 back (1:59.15) with a lifetime-best performance. Seaver also posted a lifetime-best showing in the 100 butterfly (55.47) en route to a seventh-place finish. Additionally, she set a lifetime best in the 50 free (23.79) at the conference meet. Seaver was an important factor in all five relays for the Aggies in 2012-13 and helped NM State to fourth place in the 800-free relay as the leadoff leg and fifth place in the 200-medley relay as the anchor at the WAC meet. In dual meets, Seaver opened the regular season with a pair of wins in the 100 back and 100 fly against Air Force (Oct. 13). She also captured top honors in the 100 free at Idaho (Jan. 18) and 100 back versus New Mexico (Feb. 2). Outside of the pool, Seaver earned Academic All-WAC honors for the second consecutive year.

2011-12 (SOPHOMORE): Seaver played a vital role for the Aggies as a sophomore. She broke an individual school record and was a member of three relay school records in 2011-12. At the 2012 WAC Championships, Seaver recorded a school record and lifetime-best time in the 100 back (55.38) en route to finishing in fifth place. She was also a member of the 400-free (3:23.63), 800-free (7:22.47) and 200-medley (1:41.48) relays that set program records. The 400-free and 200-medley relays earned runner-up honors, while the 800-free relay finished fourth at the WAC meet. Seaver also posted season-best times in the 200 back (1:59.33) and 100 butterfly (55.49), and she collected fifth-place showings in the events at the conference meet. She set a season-best time in the 50 free (23.97) at the WAC meet and 100 free (52.09) at the Houston Invitational (Nov. 17-19). In the season-opening weekend, Seaver won the 200 back at TCU (Oct. 21). She won the 100 fly, finished third in the 50 free and helped the Aggies win the 400-medley relay against Northern Colorado (Oct. 29) in the home opener. At the UNLV Winter Invitational (Dec. 17-19), she was third in the 200 back and swam the first leg of the winning 400-free relay. Seaver swept the backstroke events and won the 200-medley relay in the home finale against Idaho (Jan. 21). In the regular season finale at New Mexico (Feb. 4), she won the 100 back and was second in the 100 free. Seaver was also successful in the classroom and earned Academic All-WAC honors.

Seaver finished in ninth place in the 100 back, 11th place in the 200 back and 14th place in the 100 fly. At the WAC meet, Seaver was a member of two relays that set school records. She swam the leadoff leg for the 200-medley relay (1:41.63) that finished in second place and the second leg for the 800-free relay (7:26.99) that finished in fifth place. Additionally, Seaver was the second leg for the 400-free relay that was eighth. In dual meet action, Seaver began her Aggie career with a victory in the 100 back along with runner-up finishes in the 200 back and 400-medley relay as the leadoff in the season opener against Boise State/North Texas (Oct. 22-23). At Washington State (Nov. 5), she won the 100 back and helped the 200-medley relay finish second as the first leg. Seaver collected bronze in the 100 back at the UNLV Invitational (Dec. 11-13). She also helped the relays to a win in the 400-medley relay as leadoff and second-place showings in the 400-free relay as the second leg and 200-medley relay as leadoff. On the final road trip of the regular season, Seaver won the 200 free at Northern Colorado (Jan. 21) and won both the 200-free relay as the third leg and 400-medley relay as the leadoff at Colorado State (Jan. 22). Seaver also earned Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team honors.
