Biography

Junior (2012-13): Witte finished the 2012-13 season with an even 9-9 singles record during the spring dual season. Two of those wins were over conference opponents Seattle and Utah State, while she also picked up a 7-6, 6-4 win over her UTEP counterpart. Witte played primarily at the fourth court and won seven of her nine matches in straight sets.

Working with three partners in doubles play, Witte had the most success with Denise Van Der Ben. The pair went 4-5 at the No. 2 spot. Witte spent the Month of February competing with senior Ginet Pinero and then worked with Mia Brandt for the month of April. Pinero and Witte earned a 1-4 record at the No. 2 spot with their solo win coming against Weber State 8-5. Witte and Brandt struggled during conference play, going 0-4 against WAC opponents. Witte was named to the ITA Scholar Athlete list and helped the team earn Academic All-America status for the last six years.

Sophomore (2011-2012): In her sophomore season, Witte competed in both singles and doubles competition.  In her singles campaign, Witte finished 10-7 and was one of six Aggies to reach double digit wins.  After starting the spring season with two losses, Witte went on a four-match win streak in the months of February and March.  She earned wins against Idaho (3/4) which helped the team earn a 4-3 victory over Idaho and moved the Aggies to 1-0 in WAC play.  Witte also earned a win against San Jose State (4/26) in the Aggie Invitational play.  In doubles competition, Witte teamed with Manon Sylvain to begin the season and went 2-2 overall; Witte teamed with Denise Van Der Ben and finished 0-4 and also teamed with Jodie Williams and went 2-1 overall.

Freshman (2010-11): Witte made an immediate impact on the Aggie squad as a freshman, compiling a team-high 18 singles victories. Witte played in the middle of the lineup all season. She posted a 6-1 record at the No. 5 slot, went 3-3 at No. 4 and recorded a 5-2 mark at the No. 3 position. She ended the season by claiming eight of her final 10 matches. In doubles action, Witte typically paired up with senior Isabela Kulaif at the No. 1 or No. 2 positions. Overall, Witte finished the year at 14-10 in doubles with a 6-1 mark at the No. 2 slot. Witte earned accolades off the court last season as an ITA Scholar Athlete and a member of the WAC All-Academic Freshman Team.

Prior to NM State: Witte was ranked No. 30 in the juniors division (ages 12-14) in Amsterdam.  Witte was later ranked in the open top 100 during her playing time in all of the Netherlands.

Personal: Witte is the daughter of Jaap Witte and Rita Stork.  Witte is majoring in family and child science.
