Strahinja Trecakov

Strahinja Trecakov enters his second season as the student assistant for longtime Aggie men's tennis coach Carlos Vargas.

Trecakov was a four-year letter winner for NM State before making the move to the coaching ranks in the fall of 2016.

During his collegiate career, the Kikinda, Serbia, native led NM State to its first Western Athletic Conference Championship in 2015 and led the Aggies to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2000 as well. 

During his time with the Aggies, Trecakov played at the top singles and doubles positions for NM State. As a sophomore he was named to the All-WAC First-Team for singles while earning Academic All-WAC and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic Scholar honors.

Trecakov graduated from NMSU with a bachelor's in computer science and currently pursuing a master's in the same concentration.Â
