Biography
2018-19: Spring: Led NM State to its second WAC Championships title and NCAA Tournament appearance…finished her senior year 11-21 in singles overall and 21-14 in doubles overall…named to the WAC All-Tournament Team in doubles with fellow senior Yadira Rubio…also earned Second-Team All-WAC honors with Rubio…opened the dual season with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jaci Fulgenzi of WNMU (1/27)…bounced back with a 0-6, 6-1, 6-2 win against Lucy Ocatve of Utah State (2/9)…took down UTSA’s (2/24) No. 2 doubles team 6-3 with Rubio…won seven-straight doubles matches with Rubio from late March to early April…defeated former teammate Vanessa Valdez 6-3, 7-5 on the road against Battle of I-10 rival UTEP (4/13) and also won her doubles match with Rubio 7-5…clinched the WAC title for NM State with a thrilling 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory over Grand Canyon’s (4/28) Celia Morel. Fall: Went 3-9 overall in singles and 6-6 overall in doubles during the fall…won the consolation bracket at the Aggie Invitational with a 7-6, 2-6, 1-0 win over New Mexico’s (9/23) Natasha Munday…won the doubles flight at the Aggie Invite with Harsha Challa…took down Colorado State’s (10/26) doubles team 7-5 with Challa at the UNM Halloween Howl.
2017-18: Spring: Finished the spring season with a 12-13 overall mark in singles play where she split time between No. 2 and No. 3 and was 3-2 record in conference matches…also went 9-20 overall in doubles play and 7-13 in dual play…helped NM State pick up a 5-2 win over Weber State (1/20) in the home-opener with a 4-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-5) win over Tereza PIlzova…defeated Northern Arizona’s (2/2) Brandy Walker 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8)...opened up WAC player with a pair of wins over Chicago State’s (3/24) Anastasii Goncharaova 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and Grand Canyon’s (3/25) Lana Rinaldi 6-3, 6-3…defeated UTRGV’s (4/7) Marine Darzyan 7-6 (7-5), 6-4…guided NM State to a 4-1 win over Battle of I-10 rival UTEP (4/14) with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Raven Bennett. Fall: Picked up a pair of wins in the fall in both singles and doubles…teamed up with Yadira Rubio to defeat UNM’s (10/1) doubles team of Ruth Copas and Danielle Quevedo 6-4…took down UTEP’s (10/28) Alisa Morozova 7-5, 6-2 at the UNM Halloween Howl.
2016-17: Spring: Named Second-Team All-WAC in doubles play with teammate Gabrielle Joyce after going 19-7 overall and 12-4 in league play at the No. 3 doubles slot...also earned Academic All-WAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second-straight year...finished the year with 14 singles victories - 11 coming from the dual season while posting a 3-2 mark in WAC play...picked up her first dual victory of the season 6-3, 6-2 over Jenny Bond of Central Oklahoma (1/14)…defeated Caroline Maltby of Seattle U (3/17) 6-4, 7-5 for her first WAC victory…won seven-straight doubles matches beginning with a 6-2 win over Chloe Leclere and Amanda Guardia of UTRGV (3/19)...finished the season with Joyce winning eight of their last nine doubles matches. Fall: Started the year with five-straight wins in doubles play...finished third at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational finishing with a 7-6, 4-6, 6-0 victory over Lana Rinaldi of GCU…won the doubles flight in the NM State Aggie Invitational with partner Vanessa Valdez.Â
2015-16: Spring: Helped guide New Mexico State to its first Western Athletic Conference regular-season title, clinching the match against Kristen James of Seattle U (4/3) 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles…finished her first season at NM State at 9-9, all in dual play, and 12-7 in doubles action with Chloe Jolliff…earned Second-Team All-WAC honors for doubles at the No. 3 slot with Jolliff…named to Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team…was 4-1 in conference play in doubles at No. 6 doubles…went 6-6 at the No. 5 singles slot and 3-3 at the No. 6 position…made her collegiate debut at UNLV (1/29), playing at the No. 6 position…recorded her first doubles victory at NM State with Chloe Jolliff at No. 3 doubles against Pacific (1/30)…picked up her first collegiate win in singles vs. Morgan Dickason of Weber State (1/31) 6-3 6-3…notched a win in postseason play with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Seattle U’s (4/30) Sari Kwee at the WAC Tournament...named Academic All-WAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete at season's end.

High School: Played tennis all-four years at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces…led the Trojans to state championships in 2012 and 2014, and four district titles…won the 2012 doubles state championship…was a four-time individual district champion and finished third at the 2013 individual state championships…graduated in the top-10 percent of her class and was a member of the honor society.

Personal: Daughter of Randy and Judy Harlas, both of whom are NM State alums…Harlas comes from a long line of Aggie tennis players…her mother and older brother, Jeremy, also played for NM State…the Harlas family legacy with NM State tennis also extends to her aunts: Becky Lee, Chrissy Kehl and Cathey Kwiatkowski…all three aunts, including her mother went by their maiden name, Ross, when they played…majoring in Biology
