Biography

2018-19: Spring: Saw limited action as a sophomore and finished 4-1 overall in singles and 3-1 in doubles action…went 2-0 during the dual season and gave up just one point between both matches. Fall: Went 2-1 in singles and 3-1 in doubles during the fall slate…won her first two matches of the fall at the Aggie Invitational before falling in the singles flight championship match to teammate Chloe Gavino…fell in the quarterfinals of the doubles flight of the same tournament with teammate Clara Rizea.

2017-18: Spring: Wrapped up her first season with the Aggies with a 4-13 overall record in singles and 10-13 record in doubles…picked up her first dual win against Weber State (1/20) with a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory against Morgan Dickason and teamed up with Rebecca Keijzerwaard for the 6-3 win in doubles… teamed up with Keijzerwaard again for a 6-2 win against Wyoming’s (3/2) team…bested UTSA’s (3/18) Ivana Ilic 6-3, 6-3 on the road…recorded her first WAC match with a 6-2, 6-3 win against Lorea Gamboa of Chicago State (3/24)...paired up with Yadira Rubio to beat Grand Canyon’s (3/25) No. 2 doubles team 6-1…also picked up a 6-2 win over UTRGV’s (4/7) doubles team with Rubio. Fall: Went 1-2 in singles and 4-4 in doubles during her first fall season with NM State…recorded her first-career win against Battle of I-25 rival New Mexico’s (9/29) Hsiang-Wen Huang 7-6 (7-0), 2-6, 6-2 at the CU Invitational…recorded her first doubles win at the same tournament with Helena Colvee against Colorado’s (9/30) Chloe Hule and Louise Ronaldson…paired up with Eli Arnaudova for the 6-2 victory against New Mexico’s (10/1) Natasha Munday and Lauren Rich…won back-to-back matches at the UNM Halloween Howl with Keijzerwaard on the last day.

Before NM State: Comes to NM State with plenty of international experience, having played in Aruba, Netherlands, Denmark and Croatia…reached finals in several Dutch Women’s Open national tournaments…advanced to the round of 16 at the Amstelpark Zuiver Trophy Tournament in 2013 as well as the round of 16 at the Skovbakken TE Outdoor Tournament in 2014.

Personal: Daughter of Miguel and Susanne Janssen…has an older sister, Zoe, and older brother, Ziggy...father ran in the 200m dash for Aruba in the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta…father currently serves as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Dutch Tennis Federation…brother Ziggy was ranked in the top-five amongst U16s in Netherlands...majoring in business administration.
