Biography
2018-19: Spring: Finished the season 9-17 overall in singles and 16-12 in doubles – including a 4-1 mark in conference play…helped lead the Aggies to their second WAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance…earned Second-Team All-WAC honors in doubles with teammate Chloe Gavino…picked up her first dual win of the spring with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win against Hanna Jones of Utah State (2/9)…defeated Kansas City’s top singles player Michela Xibilia twice, once in the regular-season and once in the semifinal match of the WAC Championship. Fall: Went 3-1 in singles and 2-2 in doubles during the fall…advanced to the semifinals of the Aggie Invitational, including a 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 quarterfinal win over New Mexico’s (9/21) Polly Chen...moved onto the semifinals of the Aggie Invite thanks to a 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 victory over teammates Gavino and Nadia Justiniano.
2017-18: Spring: Wrapped up her sophomore season 9-19 overall and 8-12 in dual play with a 3-2 mark in WAC matches…finished the year with nine wins in doubles action, seven of which coming in dual play…earned Second-Team All-WAC honors and was named to the WAC All-Tournament team for the second-straight year…helped NM State win its home-opener against Weber State (1/20) with a 6-3 win in doubles with Quinty Janssen…picked up her first singles win of the spring against UT Permian Basin (2/11) at home 6-1, 6-3 at the top singles position…helped NM State go 2-0 in the first WAC Pod with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Chicago State’s (3/24) 6-2, 6-3 and Grand Canyon’s (3/25) Martina Lo Pumo 6-4, 6-1…also defeated UTRGV’s (4/7) Dominique Esparza 6-4, 6-4…teamed up with Lindsay Harlas to defeat UTEP’s (4/14) top doubles team 6-3…took down Michelle Lui of Seattle U in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament 6-0, 6-2. Fall: Had a tough fall season, going 1-7 in singles play and 2-6 in doubles action…defeated Oklahoma’s (10/1) Camila Romero 6-4, 6-4 at the CU Invitational…teamed up with Janssen to defeat Northern Arizona’s (10/28) tandem 6-1 and followed up with a 6-2 victory over UTEP’s team of Alisa Morzova and Erandi Martinez at the UNM Halloween Howl.
2016-17: Spring: Finished her first collegiate season with 12 wins in singles play – 10 of which came in dual play…wrapped up the year 15-11 in doubles action…earned WAC All-Tournament honors with doubles partner Vanessa Valdez...named to the Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team and an ITA Scholar-Athlete at season’s end…beat Alix Williams of Central Oklahoma (1/14) 6-0, 6-1 for her first-career dual victory to open the season…finished the regular-season with a five-match winning-streak…picked up her first win in WAC play 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 over Mariam Kurasbediani of UMKC (3/18). Fall: Recorded her first collegiate singles victory against Alicia Barbarous of Tarleton State (9/25) 7-6, 6-2…defeated Prudhomme and Baklini of GCU 9-8 and won the NM State Aggie Invitational doubles flight with teammate Gabrielle Joyce to start collegiate career…had a four-match win-streak early in the season that saw her defeat Houston’s (2/12) No. 2 doubles team 6-2…also teamed up with Vanessa Valdez to defeat Iowa State’s (3/15) No. 1 doubles team 6-4.
Before NM State: Ranked in the top-15 for juniors in her country…also ranked No. 123 in singles and No. 118 in doubles according to the women’s open rankings…advanced to quarterfinals in singles and was also a runner-up in doubles at the Netherland’s national championship…teamed up with Sem Wensveen in 2014 and reached the semifinals of doubles action at the Focus TA OpenTE3 Tournament.
Personal: Daughter of Leen and Marleen Keijzerwaard…has two older brothers, Matthijs and David…majoring in journalism.
