2015-16: Spring: Helped guide NM State to its first regular-season championship since joining the Western Athletic Conferenceā¦named to WAC All-Tournament team after going 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 2-0 in doubles at the No. 2 spot with teammate Ashvarya Shrivastavā¦was named the WAC Player of the Week in consecutive weeks (March 22 & March 29)ā¦named to Academic All-WAC team for the second-straight seasonā¦finished season 10-3 overall in singles and 2-0 in WAC playā¦concluded season with a seven-match winning-streak in singles and won nine of her last 10ā¦wrapped up her sophomore campaign 13-8 in doubles and 10-3 when playing at the No. 2 doubles slot with Shrivastavā¦started her seven-match win-streak with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Mesa CCās (3/16) No. 1 doubles playerā¦dominated her matches in the WAC opener, downing Dominique Esparza of UTRGV (3/18) 6-1, 6-1ā¦followed up with a whitewashing of Alex Petrzalkova at Grand Canyon (3/19)ā¦defeated Kellie Woodman of Seattle U (4/30) 6-1, 6-2 and UTRGVās (5/1) Esparza 6-3, 6-3 in WAC semifinals and championship match, respectively. Fall: Went 2-1 in doubles play with Ashvarya Shrivastav at the Aggie Invitationalā¦defeated Western New Mexicoās pair of Diamond Morrill and Tiffany Newell 6-0 in the round of 16 and then dispatched Tarleton Stateās Luiza Adas and Ashleigh Elward 7-5 to reach semifinals.
2014-15: Had a tremendous freshman campaign, going 15-9 in singles play and 17-6 in doubles actionā¦made an immediate impact for the Aggies, leading the team to its first Western Athletic Conference Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearanceā¦started her singles career with three-straight victories, including an ousting of No. 49 Iulia Marcenco from Arizona Christian 6-0, 6-0ā¦victories over Laurda Middel of Montana State (6-0, 6-3) and Johanna Vang of Northern Arizona (6-0, 6-3) saw her reach the round of 32 at the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Championshipā¦playing at the No. 2 and No. 3 slot, Kaur compiled an 8-7 mark in dual playā¦her first dual win in singles came against Pippa Carr of Texas State, 6-2, 6-4ā¦was 3-0 in conference play, including an unfinished matchā¦started her doubles career with an 8-6 loss to UTEPās team, but bounced back with five-straight wins, three with Erika Castillo Lopez in the consolation rounds of the Aggie Invitational and two with Denise Van Der Ben at the SDSU Fall Classicā¦dispatched CSUNās duo 8-5 and San Diego Stateās team 8-3 to reach the doubles championship match, before falling to CSUNās pair of Mickey HSU and Kristen Poei 8-5ā¦reached the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Mountain Regionals with wins over Idaho (8-7) and Utah State (8-5)ā¦played half the dual season at No. 1 & No. 2 slots before finishing the second half of the dual season at No. 3 doublesā¦picked up her first dual victory with Ashvarya Shrivastav against Texas State 6-4ā¦had a 10-match winning streak in doubles play before falling to No. 16 Texas Techās No. 3 pair at the NCAA Tournamentā¦named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and WAC All-Academic team.
Prior to NM State:Ā Comes to Las Cruces from India where she studied at the Harvest International School in the town of Jassowal...while at Harvest International,Ā she trained and played tennis at the Harvest Tennis Academy, one of the premier tennis facilities in India...was ranked as high as No. 275 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior rankings...was among the top-10 junior tennis players in India since the age of 12...during Ā junior career,Ā amassed over 50 combined wins in singles and doubles play, winning 11 singles titles and 12 doubles titles.
Personal:Ā Daughter of Baljeet Singh and Sarbjeet Kaurā¦has an older siste, Kunwerdeep Kaur, and younger brother, Ekamjot Singhā¦majoring in finance.
