Biography

Junior (2007-08): Eusebe was named to the All-WAC Second Team in singles play in the spring dual match season. She had a team-leading 16-5 dual match singles record playing mainly at the No. 3 position, but she did go 1-0 in her only No. 2 singles match. Eusebe had a very strong end to the season, as she won her last five matches and 11 of her last 13 on the year. 12 of her 16 victories in 2008 came in straight sets and she won both of her WAC singles matches. In the 2008 WAC Championships, Eusebe won her No. 3 singles match over Hawai’i’s Julia Sandborn, 6-0, 6-1 to help the Aggies advance to the semifinals for the second time in three seasons. In doubles play, Eusebe again led the team in victories. Her and teammate Zeljka Juricek played the entire season together at the second position, compiling a 12-9 record. The duo won their quarterfinal doubles match and in the semifinals they were up, 7-5, over Fresno State’s 31st-nationally ranked doubles team of Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova when the match was stopped. In the fall, Eusebe had a 6-7 singles record and a 7-3 doubles record with three different teammates. She along with teammate Paulina Zuniga won the B doubles title at the UNM Individual Invitational on Oct. 20. Her overall records from her junior year were 22-12 in singles play, which was three more wins than any other player on the team and she was 20-12 in doubles play. For her successes in the classroom she was named to the 2008 ITA Scholar Athlete list and to the 2007-08 Academic All-WAC Freshman and Transfer team list.

Prior to NMSU: Eusebe comes to New Mexico State from the College de la Dailliere in Lognes, France, where she did not play tennis because she focused on her studies. However, Eusebe did participate in summer tournaments, where she beat players with the skill level equivalent to a Top 100 NCAA Division I ranking.

Personal: Eusebe is the daughter of Veronique and Robert Eusebe. She plans on studying business at New Mexico State.
