New Mexico State University Athletics

Bianca Paz enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Aggies.  She graduated with a degree in Journalism and Business from the University of Miami (Ohio) in 2007.

Paz, a standout shortshop, was a two-time MAC All-Tournament selection and helped Miami win its first MAC softball title in 2005 when the RedHawks downed Marshall in the MAC Tournament and earned their first trip to the NCAA Tournament.

During her time on the field, Paz set new career highs throughout her senior season in RBIs (22), triples (3) and home runs (3).  She also ranked second in the MAC in triples and eighth in stolen bases (11; 0.21 stolen bases-per game) and led the team with 11 stolen bases.  She ended career ranked fourth all-time in doubles (29) and tied for third in stolen bases (40).

Paz was born and raised in Las Cruces, N.M.
