Cormier reunites with Head Coach Tony Sanchez after joining the Aggies in the spring of 2024, having spent 10 seasons at UNLV, including the five seasons Sanchez spent as the man in charge of the Runnin’ Rebels.
Cormier most recently was a receivers coach at Ball State (2023), with three prior seasons spent at FCS Houston Christian as the inside receivers coach (2020) and the offensive coordinator/receivers coach (2021-22).
For a decade Cormier called the Sin City home, working as the receivers coach. During his tenure with UNLV, Cormier coached Devate Davis, who set the Runnin’ Rebels single-season touchdown mark after catching 13 in the 2013 campaign, and Freshman All-American Devante Boyd.
Ahead of his time at UNLV, Cormier spent a season with the Miami Redhawks of the MAC as the receivers coach, getting his start in the collegiate ranks in the same position at FCS Montana.
Prior to his time in the collegiate ranks, Cormier was an assistant coach at Baytown Lee (Texas) High School for two seasons after starting his coaching career at Channelview (Texas) High School in 2004. While at Channelview, he coached future Chicago Bear wide receiver Johnny Knox.

A native of Houston, Cormier was a four-year letterwinner at Colorado from 1997-2001 and earned his bachelor’s degree in communications in 2002. A member of the 2001 Big XII Championship Team, he caught 52 career passes and gained 529 total yards for the Buffaloes while scoring one receiving touchdown during the championship run. He was also on the kick return unit and ran back a punt for a touchdown as a freshman.
Cormier has a daughter, Danielle, and a son, Deon, who was a wide receiver at McNeese State.
