Gannon Veh joined the New Mexico State football program in June 2023 as the Director of Video/Quality Control.
Veh comes to Las Cruces after serving as Assistant Director of Football Operations/ Video Coordinator at FCS powerhouse Furman University in Greenville, SC for five seasons. During Veh’s time in Greenville, the Paladins twice appeared in the FCS Playoffs, including the 2022 season. In ’22, Furman captured a ten-win season and reached the second round of the FCS Playoffs after knocking off No. 12 Elon 31-6 in the opening round. His primary duties were filming practices and games for coaching evaluation and scouting purposes. Furman won a conference title in 2018.
Before heading to Furman, Veh worked for two years at the University of Akron serving as a graduate assistant in the Zips video department. While on staff, Veh led efforts in the Zips department, culminating in an appearance in both the 2017 MAC Championship game and the 2017 Cheribundi Tart Cherry Bowl. He was accorded a master’s degree in Sports Management from Akron in 2017.
From 2012-2014 he worked as a student filmer for the Pittsburg State University Football team under now-NM State Offensive Coordinator Tim Beck. During his time in Pittsburg, the Gorillas went 29-7 in three seasons with two playoff appearances. With the Gorillas, Veh and company claimed titles in the 2013 Mineral Water Bowl and reached the second round of the 2014 NCAA Division II playoffs.
Veh began his collegiate coaching career at Hutchinson Community College (2010-2012) when the Blue Dragons captured two Salt City Bowl games. Following his time at Pittsburg State, Veh returned to Hutchinson as the Blue Dragons’ Video Coordinator in 2015.
A Hutchinson, KS native, Veh earned an associate degree in broadcast media and technology at Hutchinson Community College in 2012 and a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcasting and coaching from Pittsburg State University.
Veh is a member of the Collegiate Sports Video Association.
