New Mexico State University Athletics

Molly Tye joined NM State Athletics in January 2026 as the Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Senior Woman Administrator. In her role, she serves as sport administrator for football and women’s basketball, oversees all internal operations for the department, manages human resources functions, and acts as the department’s Title IX Coordinator. She also serves as the primary liaison to campus student conduct and the university police department.

Tye brings nearly two decades of athletics administration experience, with previous roles at Texas A&M University (2018–2026), Penn State University (2014–2018), Bethune-Cookman University (2011–2014), Howard University (2009–2011), and Virginia Tech (2007–2009). She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in social work from Howard University.
