Robert Nordorf begins his second season as the NM State volunteer assistant coach under head coach Rocky Ward after a semester as a student manager in 2012.

Before coming to NM State, Nordorf was an assistant baseball coach at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) from 2009-12.  He was the pitching coach and first-base coach, while also being involved in recruiting and field and equipment maintenance. 

In 2011, Nordorf was a bench coach for the Roswell Invaders, who are a part of the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs.  The Invaders were 47-27 overall and the 2011 Pecos League champions.  He also worked in field maintenance for the Pecos League in 2012.

Since 2010, Nordorf has been a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

Nordorf received an associate’s degree in math and science from NMMI in 2008 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at NM State.  Nordorf has two children, Mia, age 12, and Urijah, age 3.
