Princess Moore is entering her third season as an assistant coach on the NMSU women’s basketball staff after spending the 2004-05 season as a student assistant. Moore is no newcomer to NMSU however, having enjoyed an outstanding four-year career for the Crimson and White from 2000-04.
Moore’s duties for the coaching staff include setting up all travel arrangements, coordinating film and videotape exchange and life skills training for student-athletes as well as spearheading the team’s community service efforts. She also steps in and assists coaching the forward and post players.
As a member of the Aggie basketball team, Moore became the 14th player in school history to score 1,000 points in her career. Her 1,387 career points rank her seventh on the all-time list.
As a senior, Moore collected several honors including All-Sun Belt first team, Academic All-Sun Belt team and Sun Belt Player of the Week selections.
Moore led the team in steals in each of her four seasons, finishing with a total of 230. She holds five spots on the NMSU top career performance lists’, including a tie for fourth in steals.
Moore is one of only three Aggies in program history to shoot 10-for-10 at the free-throw line in a game, accomplishing the feat on Dec. 16, 2001 against Cal State Northridge.
