WACO, Texas – For the second consecutive year, the New Mexico State equestrian team will begin the season ranked in the top 10. Prior to the 2016 season, they land at No. 10 in the nation, announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Wednesday.
The Aggies finished the 2015 season with a 6-7 overall record. The squad topped Delaware State 9-7 and defeated UT Martin 12-4 in the United Equestrian Conference Championships to earn a berth in the NCEA Championships.
NM State begins competition on Friday as they travel to Waco, Texas for the Willis Invitational. In addition to host Baylor, the South Dakota State and Fresno State will be in attendance.
