LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State equestrian's Remington Wilkie was named the United Equestrian Conference Equestrian on the Flat Rider of the Month. Wilkie helped lead the Aggies to a 2-2 record in the spring, including an upset of top-ranked Texas A&M.
The junior has posted a 4-0 record in equestrian on the flat. The unblemished record has featured Wilkie averaging a score of 74.25 during the past month, as she has defeated her opponents by an average margin of 4.25.
The Burleson, Texas native's stellar performance saw her take home the MVP honor in equestrian on the flat after the team's upset of No. 1 Texas A&M.
Wilkie and the Aggies will close out the regular season on Saturday, March 4 at 10 a.m. MT against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Prior to the home finale, the team will honor its two seniors –
Jaimie Story and
Katlynn Crine – at the NM State Equestrian Center.
