LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Following an 11 day break, the NM State softball team is set to open conference play as they host Seattle U in a three-game series this weekend with game one on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the NM State Softball Complex. Friday's game will be broadcast by AggieVision and will air live on ESPN3, Altitude 2 and the WAC Digital Network.
Game one will air on a tape delay on Fox Sports Arizona on Saturday at 3:00 a.m. Fox College Sports Specific will air the game on a tape delay on Saturday at 7:00 a.m.
Saturday will feature a double header to conclude the series. The first game will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the second game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Both games Saturday will be on KRUX 91.5.
The Aggies hold a 20-16 overall record this season. They last played No. 15 Missouri on Mar. 19-20, with the Tigers capturing the series sweep. After a close 9-6 loss in game one on Saturday that saw NM State score five runs in one inning, the Aggies dropped a 14-3 decision before they fell 5-1 in the series finale.
NM State holds a 10-0 series record over Seattle U. The two teams last played on Apr. 4, 2015 as the Aggies concluded a series sweep of the Redhawks with a 6-1 victory in Seattle. NM State won the games one and two 7-2 and 10-1, respectively. Seattle U is 14-19 this season after defeating Santa Clara 4-3 on Saturday in the Gaucho Classic II.
