EL PASO, Texas – The NM State softball team is set to take a break from conference play as they face Battle of I-10 rival UTEP on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. MT at Helen of Troy Field. This is the third time the Aggies have faced the Miners this season.

The Aggies are 28-19 overall this season after winning two games of the three-game series at Grand Canyon last weekend. After falling 6-5 on a walk-off run in game one, the team rebounded to collect an 8-0 win in game two on Friday. On Saturday, NM State secured the series victory with a 9-1 win.
NM State holds a 27-10 record over UTEP after capturing two wins over the Miners during the NM State Invitational. On Feb. 13, the Aggies amassed a 4-1 win over UTEP. NM State then garnered a 12-4 victory over the Miners on Feb. 14. UTEP is 19-24 overall this season after defeating Middle Tennessee State 9-6 on Sunday.
