OREM, Utah – The NM State softball team returns to conference play on Friday as they face Utah Valley in a double header with the first game set for 12:00 p.m. MT. Game two is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and the series finale will be on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
The Aggies are 23-18 overall after falling to No. 17 Arizona in a double header on Wednesday night in Tucson, Ariz. NM State opened league play last weekend as they swept a three-game series against Seattle U with a 12-0 win, a 2-0 victory and a 5-0 win over the Redhawks.
NM State holds a 10-2 record over Utah Valley. The Aggies last played the Wolverines on May 8, 2015 as they captured an 18-3 victory. Overall, the two teams faced each other five times in 2015 with NM State securing wins in each contest. Utah Valley is 5-26 overall this season after dropping both games of a double header to Weber State on Monday with scores of 5-3 and 8-6.
