LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State volleyball will close out the opening week of the Western Athletic Conference season with Utah Valley on Saturday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Pan American Center.

NM State opened WAC play on Thursday in thrilling fashion as they took down Seattle U in five sets. Three Aggies notched double digit kills in the win, including reigning WAC Player of the Week
Jordan Abalos with 21 kills.

The Aggies hold a 5-1 record in the all-time series with the Wolverines. Last season, NM State swept the season series with UVU with a 3-1 win in Las Cruces and a 3-0 win in Orem, Utah.

So far this season, the Wolverines are paced offensively by Madison Dennison, who has racked up 119 kills and five service aces. Dennison also leads UVU and the WAC in blocks, averaging 1.50 per set. Nakisha Willden leads the squad with 237 digs.
