NM State football gets set for final regular season road contest against Sun Belt foe Louisiana on Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. MT.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State football team travels to Lafayette, La. to take on Sun Belt Conference opponent Louisiana this Saturday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. MT.

SCOUTING THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
Louisiana enters Saturday's contest with an equal overall record to the Aggies at 4-5 and a 3-2 mark in Sun Belt play. The Ragin' Cajuns most recently fell on the road to Ole Miss, 50-22 on Saturday, Nov. 11.

With three different starting quarterbacks in 2017-18, the Ragin' Cajuns have put up 1,915 yards through the air with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

On the ground, Louisiana looks to freshman running back Trey Ragas who has rushed for 626 yards on 107 carries with a team-leading seven touchdowns.

Defensively, linebacker T.J. Posey leads the Ragin' Cajuns with 69 total tackles, including two sacks and one interception. Defensive back Tracy Walker has been reliable in pass coverage with a pair of interceptions, six pass breakups and 59 tackles.

NOTABLES: LAST GAME
- For the third time this season, the Aggies scored on their first drive of the game.
- Tyler Rogers punched in his team-leading seventh rushing touchdown of the season.
- Cedric Wilcots II recorded the first forced fumble of his career.
- Wilcots had four sacks, the most since Aubrey Dorisme with three against Middle Tennessee (10/11/03). 
- Jonathan Boone posted his first touchdown catch of the 2017 season.
- The 44-yard touchdown reception by Boone was the longest reception of his career.
- Jaleel Scott posted his third 100-plus yard receiving game of the season.
- Jared Phipps set a career-high in total tackles (10).
- Anthony Muse tallied his first touchdown reception of the season.
- This was the eighth game this season where two or more Aggies had a touchdown reception.
- Nick Jeanty threw his first passing touchdown since playing Idaho (10/15/16).
- Scott recorded his third game this season with multiple receiving touchdowns (Arizona State, Georgia Southern).
- Larry Rose III recorded the 32nd rushing touchdown of his Aggie career which moves him into third all-time.
- Tyler Rogers set a career-high in passing yards (474).
- NM State won their third road game of the season for the first time since 2001.

AN NM STATE WIN WOULD…
- Mark the highest win total in the Doug Martin era and most for the Aggies since 2004.
- Extend the Aggies win streak over the Ragin' Cajuns to three games and even the all-time series at 6-6.
- Be the first time the Aggies have won back-to-back games since 2015.
- Mark the first time NM State has won four road games since 1965.

After week 12 of action in college football, NM State football along with a handful of Aggies are ranked in the top-25 nationally through games on Nov. 11, 2017.

CHANGE THE RECORD
Entering week 10, NM State senior running back Larry Rose III and redshirt senior quarterback Tyler Rogers look to etch their names further into the program's record book. The two players sit in the top-5 for a combined 11 career offensive records for the Aggies.

Rose III already has his name second all-time for rushing yards (4,246) and third in carries (714), rushing touchdowns (32) and all-purpose yards (5,221). The running back also sits in fifth in scoring (210).

Rogers also looks to rewrite the record books as he is second all-time in passing yards (9,546), completions (846), attempts (1,382), passing touchdowns (65), total offense (10,166) and total touchdowns (78).

Wide receiver Jaleel Scott also moved into 10th all-time for receiving touchdowns (10), despite only suiting up for his second season as an Aggie.
