LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team gets set to host the annual Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, Oct. 15-16, at the NMSU Golf Course. The Aggies are welcoming 11 other teams to the City of Crosses.
NM State is joined on the links by Cal Baptist, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, McMurry, Odessa, Oral Roberts, UTEP, UTRGV, Wichita State, Western Illinois and Western New Mexico.
The starting lineup for the Aggies at the home tournament is led by

Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate is a 54-hole invitational set to be played over two days at the University Golf Course which is a 7,242 yard, par-71 layout. The first two rounds begin on Monday, Oct. 15 followed by the final round of play on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Each day of competition begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. MT. This tournament is named in honor of retired NM State Hall of Fame Coach Herb Wimberly, who directed the Aggie golf program for 31 years. He coached 18 Aggies to All-American status and was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame in 1985.
Following the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, New Mexico State remains in Las Cruces, N.M. to close out the fall slate at the Pepsi-Cola Classic at the Redhawk Golf Course, Oct. 20-21.
