LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's golf team is set to host the fifth annual NM State Aggie Invitational, Oct. 8-10, at the NMSU Golf Course. NM State has finished within the top-six in the past four events and took home first place in 2016.
The Aggies welcome 15 teams to their home course with Cal Baptist, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona, North Dakota, Oral Roberts, Portland State, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, UC Riverside, Utah Valley, UTEP, UTRGV and Weber State all making the trip to the City of Crosses.
Starting for NM State in the home event is
Pun Chanachai,
Dominique Galloway,
Kehler Koss,
Maria Prado and
Tiegan Taylor.
Angela Xu is set to compete as an individual. Through two events this season, Galloway leads the team with a 73.17 stroke average and a top-10 finish. Chanachai follows with a 74.00 stroke average and a top-25 finish back in September.
The 54-hole Aggie Invitational is set to be played over three days from Monday, Oct. 8 to Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the NMSU Golf Course which is a 6,392-yard, par-72 layout. Following the Aggie Invitational, the New Mexico State women's golf team heads to Kapolei, Hawaii to close out the fall slate at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 30-31, at the Kapolei Golf Club.
