LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's golf team heads to Fort Collins, Colo. for the Ptarmigan Ram Classic at the Ptarmigan Country Club, Sept. 17-19.  The Aggies won the Ram Classic in 2017 with a team score of 278 (-10) and saw a second round score of 63 (-9) for 
Pun Chanachai set a new course, program and WAC-record.
 
NM State is joined on the links for the 2018 Ram Classic by 10 other teams that include Boise State, host Colorado State, Idaho, Long Beach State, Nebraska, Nevada, Portland State, San Francisco, UC Irvine and UNCG.
 
Starting for the Aggies in the second tournament of the season is Chanachai, 
Dominique Galloway, 
Kehler Koss, 
Maria Prado and 
Tiegan Taylor. 
Angela Xu is also on the trip competing as an individual.
 
The Ptarmigan Ram Classic is a three-day, 54-hole event that tees off at 8 a.m. MT on Monday, Sept. 17. Tee times on the final two days, Sept. 18-19, are also set to begin at 8 a.m. to conclude play. The course at the Ptarmigan Country Club is a par-72, 6,466-yard layout. Live stats for the entire event can be followed on

Following the Ram Classic, New Mexico State returns to the City of Crosses to host the Aggie Invitational, Oct. 8-10, on the NMSU Golf Course.
