LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The NM State women's golf team is set to host the Aggie Invitational Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 7-9, at NM State Golf Course.

17 teams, including the Aggies, will compete in the three-day tournament, which is NM State's lone home event of the season. Rounds tee off at 8 a.m. MT each day and are open to the public.

THE FIELD
NM State hosts Cal Baptist, CSU Bakersfield, NAU, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UC Irvine, Incarnate Word, Northern Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, UT Arlington, reigning champion UTEP and UTRGV at this year's tournament.
 
UTEP took home the team title last season with a score of 879 (+15), followed by Cal Baptist in second at 888 (+24). The Aggies, meanwhile, finished in fourth place at 895 (+31).

Then-junior Dominique Galloway won the first individual title of her collegiate career at last year's event. The Rio Rancho, N.M, native fired a one-under-par 215 to earn the win. 

THE AGGIES
NM State won the team title at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic last time out, finishing in first place with an overall score of 26-over-par 890. 

The Aggies sat alone in first place through 36 holes of play, firing an overall team score of 13-over-par 589 across the first and second rounds. The Aggies never lost their grip on the lead in the final round, holding off surges from both Colorado State and San Francisco to claim the title.

Galloway carded the Aggies' top individual finish, tying for fourth at four-over-par 220. The performance marked her second top-10 finish and third top-25 finish of the season.
