LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's basketball team wraps up its short homestand this Saturday, Feb. 3, when it plays host to Chicago State at 3 p.m. (MT).
 
Adam Young (@youngpbp) will have the call alongside former Neil McCarthy assistant Rus Bradburd (@RusBradburd) on the broadcast between the Aggies and Cougars.

IN THE NATION
Through games on Jan. 29, NM State is ranked 12th in the country rebounding margin (7.6) and its offensive rebounds per game (13.15) checks in at No. 22 in the nation while its NET ranking of 74 is best amongst WAC teams.
 
A LOOK AT THE COUGARS
Under the direction of first-year head coach Lance Irvin, Chicago State enters the game on Saturday 3-19 overall and 0-7 in league action with an 11-game skid. Its three wins this season came at home during the early part of December.
 
NM State holds the all-time series record 15-1 against the Cougars with the lone loss coming on the road on Jan. 16, 2014. Since then, the Aggies have won 11-straight – including a 7-0 mark at home against CSU.
 
Anthony Harris leads the team with 14.9 points per game and is also tied with Christian Jacob for the team-high in rebounds with 5.7. Jacob is second on the team in the scoring column, checking in with a 10.9 points average while owning a team-best .506 shooting clip. Rob Shaw, the team's floor general rounds out the list of double-digit scorers at 10.7 points per game with a 3.0 rebounding average while dishing out 5.3 dimes per game. Cameron Bowles is just off from averaging in double-figures with 9.2 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game.
 
Travon Bell is the team's best shooter from distance, knocking down 43 so far on the year with an 8.7 points average. Most of his shots have from beyond the arc (72%) while 64-percent of his made shots have come from downtown.
 
LAST TIME OUT
NM State (17-4, 6-1 WAC) won its 12th-straight contest against UMKC Thursday night and moved to 6-0 when playing the Roos at home against. The six-straight wins is also the longest win-streak this season for the Aggies.
 
NM State had 11 players score Thursday night while Terrell Brown led the team with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting – including 3-of-6 from downtown in the win. Meanwhile, Eli Chuha posted nine points with six boards on 3-of-3 shooting backed by seven points and six assists from AJ Harris. Clayton Henry also chipped in with nine points and five boards of his own while JoJo Zamora added seven points and five rebounds.

UP NEXT
NM State will hit the road once more, this time for a pair of critical road games at CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 7) and Grand Canyon (Feb. 9). Both games are slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. local time and broadcast on ESPN3. All three teams are vying for league supremacy, sitting at 6-1 in WAC play heading into this Saturday's games.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Aggies will get to return to the Pan Am Center after a very crucial road swing that may determine the league's regular-season champion. First up for NM State in its four-game homestand will be Utah Valley (Feb. 14) before hosting Seattle U (Feb. 16) for its annual Pack the Pan Am game. The following week New Mexico State will entertain Texas A&M – International on a Tuesday, Feb. 19, match-up prior to welcoming UT Rio Grande Valley to the Mesilla Valley.
