DENVER – Brooke Salas was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week after averaging 23.0 points and 15.0 rebounds in two WAC wins over the weekend, the league announced Monday.

The senior guard from Placentia, Calif., earned her fourth weekly honor of the year and 10
th of her career.

Salas recorded her 14
th double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 61-48 win over CSU Bakersfield. She followed up that performance with her 15
th double-double of the season when she scored 25 and pulled down 18 boards in an 81-52 win against Grand Canyon.

She is currently averaging double-double with 18.9 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. Her 18.9 points per game are good for second in the WAC while her 11.6 rebounds lead the conference.

New Mexico State next hits the court when it travels to take on Utah Valley on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m. (MT) before visiting Seattle U on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m.
