HUMBLE, Texas – The New Mexico State men's golf team completed the second round of tournament play at the All-American Intercollegiate on Monday at the Golf Club of Houston. Through two rounds the Aggies have shot a 301-303—604 (+28) and are tied for 13
th.
Individual play on the NM State squad has been led by
Ryo Harada and
Mike McGilton who have each fired a 146 (+2) and are tied for 20
th. Harada currently leads the Aggies with eight birdies and McGilton is second in the tournament field with a team-high 28 holes for par through two rounds.
These golfers are followed by
Niall Powell who has fired a 154 (+10) to sit in a tie for 63
rd.
Tadhg Campbell and
Garrison Smith round out the NM State lineup in a tie for 77
th as each Aggie has shot a 159 (+15).
Heading into the final round, the team leaderboard features Sam Houston State in first place with a team score of 573 (-3), followed by No. 37 Baylor and host Houston in a tie for second at 578 (+2) and the top-five is completed by No. 34 South Carolina and Charlotte in a tie for fourth at 582 (+6).
