FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. –
MacKinna Hauff and
Raina Brommer wrapped up day one at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Monday afternoon. The two divers competed in the 3m board against 55 other divers from the region.
Â
"Today we faced some very tough competition with lots of PAC-12 divers," said diving coach
Miranda King. "It's a very long event with thirty minutes between dives which made it difficult to stay in rhythm. Both divers did some really good things and struggled in some other aspects but we're hoping for better results tomorrow."
Â
Hauff finished in 33
rd place after posting a 243.40 with an average round score of 40.57. Brommer checked in at 209.05 for 50
th place and averaged 34.84 points per round.
Â
The two NM State divers are back in action tomorrow, March 12, as they are set to contest the 1m board. Live results are available through
Meet Control.
