LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team extended its winning streak to 13 games after a 77-54 win over Chicago State at the Pan American Center on Saturday, the fourth-longest winning streak in program history. This was the Aggies 22
nd-consecutive Western Athletic Conference home win.

New Mexico State (22-6, 14-1) opened a 7-2 lead early after a three from
Gia Pack at the 7:12 mark. However, the Cougars (2-26, 2-13) then went on a 12-5 run to lead 14-12 with 2:33 to play in the first.
Stabresa McDaniel then gave the Aggies the 16-14 lead after back-to-back scores but Chicago State scored the quarters final four points to lead 18-16 after one.

NM State scored the second quarter's first-eight points and led 24-18 with 5:36 to play until the half. Chicago State then pulled within three at 24-21 after a three-point play before
Aaliyah Prince made back-to-back buckets to give the Aggies a 28-21 lead at the 4:30 mark. After a Cougar free throw to make the score 28-22, Pack and
Brooke Salas combined for a 10-2 run to end the half and gave NM State a 38-24 lead at the break.

New Mexico State scored 22 points in the second with Pack recording 10 points, six rebounds and five assists in the first half. The Aggies held CSU to just 2-16 shooting from the field in the second while shooting 50 percent (9-18) themselves.

Chicago State opened the half by pulling within 10 points at 43-33 with 5:32 in the period before a quick bucket from Pack and a free throw from Salas made it 46-33. NM State then allowed the Cougars within eight, 50-42, at the 2:45 mark. However,
Stabresa McDaniel scored seven points during an 8-2 Aggie run to give New Mexico State a 14-point lead, 58-44 heading into the fourth quarter. McDaniel scored nine in the third quarter.

Then, Salas and McDaniel scored back-to-back buckets as the Aggies extended their lead to 18, 62-44 with 9:05 to play. After a Chicago State bucket, a quick 6-0 run from NM State extended its lead to 22 at 68-46 at the 7:15 mark. From there, New Mexico State cruised the rest of the way to a 77-54 win on Senior Day.

Pack recorded her sixth double-double of the season as the junior finished just one assist shy of a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Salas added 16 points and eight rebounds while McDaniel led the team with 20 points on 9-10 shooting from the field. McDaniel's stellar shooting performance ranks sixth for single-game shooting performances in NM State history.

As a squad, New Mexico State shot 48.5 percent from the floor and made 5 of 13 three pointers. The Aggies turned the ball over 17 times and forced 21 Cougar turnovers while outrebounding CSU 40-33.
