AUSTIN, Texas – New Mexico State track and field opened its run at the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational on Thursday. The team posted solid performances at the Mike A. Myers Stadium and the Bobcat Track and Field Complex.
In the 1,500m at the Texas Relays,
Crissey Amberg placed third in the event when she posted a time of 4:36.55. For the first round of the 400m hurdles,
Elizabeth Mendoza ran 1:05.57 to take 57th in the event.
At the Bobcat Invitational,
Sam Ponds was the top finisher in the discus, placing 18
th with a personal-best mark of 42.55m (139-7).
Bristol O'Connor finished in 29
th with a throw of 38.09m (124-11) and
Kylie Pollard took 35
th with a throw of 36.05m (118-3).
