LONG BEACH, Calif. – New Mexico State track and field completed the Beach Invitational at Jack Rose Track on Saturday.
Lashira Tremble came in eighth for the 100m, running a wind-aided time of 11.64.
Keosha Sanders ran 11.98 in the event, taking 14
th.
In the 400m,
Lanie Whelpley was the top NM State finisher, placing 26
th with a time of 56.86.
Takiyah Johnson recorded a time of 57.65 when she finished in 42
nd.
Moselle De Los Santos came in 62
nd when she posted a time of 58.63.
Crissey Amberg placed 24th in the 800m when she clocked in at 2:13.81. Nicolette Pancheco came in 43
rd for the 1,500m when she posted a time of 4:48.79
In the 100m hurdles,
Arniesha Mitchell ran 14.47 to place 31
st in the event.
Elizabeth Mendoza placed 36
th in the 400m hurdles, recording a time of 1:04.98.
The 4x400m relay team of
Camira Haughton, Johnson, Whelpley and
Asjah Wallace ran 3:45.39 to take third place.
Bristol O'Connor was the top Aggie finisher in the discus, placing 47
th when she threw 44.10m (144-8).
Sam Ponds came in 72
nd when she posted a mark of 40.19m (131-10).
Hannah Smith competed in the triple jump and placed 11
th when she recorded a mark of 12.08m (39-7.75).
NM State heads to the Grand Canyon State for the Desert Heat invitational hosted by Arizona on April 27.
