LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State track and field heads to Tucson, Ariz., for the Desert Heat Classic at Roy P. Drachman Stadium on Saturday, April 27.
During the NM State's last weekend of competition,
Lashira Tremble ran a personal best in the 200m when she posted a time of 24.12 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Crissey Amberg competed in the 1,500m invitational and finished with a time of 4:25.37. The time tied her own personal record and the program record.
In the hammer throw at the Beach Invitational,
Taniya Mitchell posted a personal record throw of 59.56m (195-5). The mark was also a new best for the New Mexico State record books.
Last season at the Desert Heat Classic, the Aggies posted three new NM State records in the 400m (51.98), 4 x 100m relay (44.66) and the 4 x 400m relay (3:40.37).
