GREENWOOD, Ind. – Following the conclusion of the track season, a quartet of Aggies have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams, announced in a press release.
Seniors
Sierra Brewer,
Rebecca Green and
Rachel O'Brien are joined by junior
Alesha Lane, with each earning their first CSC All-District distinction this season.
Brewer recently graduated from NM State with a degree in Biology, bolstered by a 3.81 GPA. On the track, Brewer tallied the third-fastest 100-meter dash time in program history, while helping the Aggies earn Third Team All-CUSA honors in the 4x100m.
Rebecca Green, a Los Alamos, N.M., native, is currently in graduate school in Las Cruces, working towards her master's degree in communication disorders. At the 2025 CUSA Indoor Championships, Green not only took home the gold medal but she also set the facility record with a mark of 16.57m.
Rachel O'Brien recently completed her first and only season with the Crimson & White while working towards her master's degree in public health. The Heyfield, Australia, native was the lone Aggie from the distance events to qualify for the NCAA West First Round, held in College Station on the campus of Texas A&M. O'Brien also holds the school record in the 1500m (4:14.86).
Alesha Lane recorded a breakout season in 2025, notching a school record mark in the discus, earning a trio of bronze medals at CUSA competitions and making her first appearance at the NCAA West First Round, hosted by Texas A&M.
