FORT COLLINS, Colo. – NM State women's golf delivered a dominant team effort in the first and second round of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic Monday to gain sole possession of first place, opening up a 10-stroke lead over second-place host Colorado State.

The Aggies fired an overall team score of 13-over-par 589 through the first 36 holes of play, led by senior
Dominique Galloway's one-under-par 143. Galloway sits alone in first place as an individual, shooting a three-over-par 75 in the first round before finishing the day with the best round of her NM State career at four-under-par 68.

Galloway played a bogey-free second round and fired four birdies en route to her career-best 18-hole score.

Senior
Pun Chanachai and sophomore
Amelia McKee are also in the top 20 through the first two rounds. Chanachai is tied for fourth at three-over-par 147, while McKee is tied for 15
th at five-over-par 159.

Freshman
Alison Gastelum is at eight-over-par 152, tying for 27
th place. Junior
Kehler Koss rounded out the Aggie fivesome, tying for 49
th place at 15-over-par 159.

The Aggies go for the win tomorrow. The final round at Ptarmigan Country Club tees off at 9 a.m. (MT).
