LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State volleyball team inked two new Aggies, head coach
Mike Jordan announced on Thursday.

"Sidney is the best attacker in the state of New Mexico and has such a high ceiling," said head coach
Mike Jordan. "Alana is a really good athlete and a skilled setter. They're great people and we're really looking forward to having them on campus next fall."

Alana Embry signed with NM State out of Poway High School in San Diego, Calif. The 5-9 setter led her high school team in assists while also been named the Nike Tournament of Champions Most Outstanding Player. She was also named to the Girls Junior National Championships All-Tournament Team.

Sidney McIntosh joins the Aggies out of Albuquerque where she starred at La Cueva High School. An outside hitter, McIntosh helped lead the Bears to State Championships in 2018 and 2019. McIntosh has appeared on the 2019 All-American watchlist and the UA All-American Watchlist while being named the 2020 Metro Albuquerque Player of the year. Â

The Aggies are seeking their second-straight WAC regular season title and third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021. NM State is set to open the season at home against WAC newcomer Dixie State on Jan. 25.
