LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team is set to travel to El Paso to take on UTEP for the second time this season on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. (MT). The Aggies fell to the Miners 80-76 in overtime on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the Don Haskins Center.

Bounce Back
Despite missing the 2019-20 season with a knee injury,
Kalei Atkinson has bounced back strong for NM State. Atkinson scored 16 points in her first game back against UTEP on Nov. 25. Atkinson is currently the Aggies second-leading scorer with 11.5 points per game.
Scouting the Miners
Since the two teams met on Nov. 25, the Miners have added another win. UTEP defeated Incarnate Word 67-63 in El Paso on Nov. 28 behind 17 points from Katia Gallegos.
Gallegos is currently the Miners leading scorer with 21.0 points per game, she scored 25 points in the first installment of the Battle of I-10. DejaNae Roebuck is UTEP's second-leading scorer at 12.5 points per game.
Last Time Out
The Aggies traveled to Tucson, Ariz., to take on Park University Gilbert (Ariz.) on Nov. 28. NM State's offense was on fire as the Aggies rolled to a 92-38 win. All 14 Aggies scored in the game, led by
Amanda Soderqvist's 13 points on 5-6 shooting from the field and 3-4 shooting from deep. Â NM State pulled down 53 boards and forced 29 Buccaneer turnovers.
