@NMStateWBB Set For Denver Matchup, Adds NAU

Aggies ready for matchup with Pioneers, Lumberjacks

 
DENVER – The New Mexico State women's basketball team heads to Denver for a showdown with the Pioneers on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. (MT) inside Hamilton Gymnasium. NM State also announced it is going to take on Northern Arizona in Tucson on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 12 p.m.

Scouting the Pioneers
Denver is 2-3 and is coming off an 85-62 loss at Colorado State on Dec. 13. The Pioneers also have a win over Colorado, 85-84, on Dec. 8.  The Aggies and Denver have met 14 times and the all-time series is tied at 14. NM State defeated the Pioneers 75-72 in Denver last season.
 
Meghan Boyd leads the Pioneers at 20.4 points per game, good for first in the Summit League. Boyd is also lethal from three, shooting the three-ball at a .400 clip. Forward Uju Ezeudu also averages double-digits for Denver at 15.0 points per game while averaging 5.2 boards.
 
A Look at NAU
The Lumberjacks are currently 3-2 through five games and most recently lost 66-58 at Grand Canyon.
 
Northern Arizona boasts a very balanced offensive attack with four players averaging double figures. Jacqulynn Nakai leads the way with 18.2 points per game. Jacey Bailey averages 14.8 points per game along with 8.2 rebounds. Emily Rodabaugh (14.4) and Miki'ala Maio (10.0) are the other two Lumberjacks who average double figures.

The Aggies will get a few weeks off before traveling to Lawrence, Kan., to battle Kansas on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. (MT).
