LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State women's golf team kicks off March in McAllen, Texas, beginning the month at the UTRGV Invitational,

The Aggies will compete in the two-day tournament hosted by UTRGV at McAllen Country Club. The first and second rounds tee off Monday, March 2, while the third and final round is played Tuesday, March 3.

THE FIELD
UTRGV welcomes in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Incarnate Word, Drake, Lamar, Stephen F. Austin, Kansas City, Texas A&M-Kingsville, McLennan Community College, Chicago State, Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M in addition to NM State.

Sam Houston State won the team title last season, finishing at 27-over-par 891 as a team. Texas State's Anne-Charlotte Mora won the individual title with an even-par 216.

THE AGGIES
Four Aggie golfers posted top-25 finishes at The Gold Rush in NM State's last tournament. Freshman Alison Gastelum led the way, carding a 15th-place finish at eight-over 224.

Senior Dominique Galloway was right behind her, coming in at 10-over 226 to tie for 21st. Senior Pun Chanachai and freshman Alex Quihuis, meanwhile, both tied for 24th at 11-over 227.

NM State posted an eighth-place finish as a team, firing a 39-over 903.
