FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Italia Aranzabal finished up day one at NCAA Diving Zones on Monday afternoon in Federal Way, Wash. Aranzabal competed in the 1m on day one of NCAA Diving Zones.

"Today was tough as the event took over 3 hours. Italia has some good dives I was happy with, but she also struggled on a few," said diving coach
Miranda King. "This is a very difficult field to compete in and I think she handled the pressure was best she could. With season coming to an end and spring training on the horizon, we will have time to work on little details to improve her performance and we will also be increasing some of her difficulty. She has 3 meter tomorrow and hopefully she'll be able to bounce back and take advantage of a new event."

Aranzabal finished in 48
th with a score of 162.60 and did not make the cut for finals.

Aranzabal will wrap up her time at NCAA Diving Zones with the 3m tomorrow, March 9, at approximately 12:30 p.m., live results for the event are available
