Aggies Sign Georgia Graduate Transfer Josh Moran

The wide receiver, who hails from Alpharetta, Ga., is eligible to play immediately.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - University of Georgia graduate transfer Josh Moran has landed at NM State.

The wide receiver will join the Aggies for the 2020 season, head coach Doug Martin announced Tuesday. Moran, who has two years of eligibility left, can play immediately.

A native of Alpharetta, Ga., Moran attended Milton High School. Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports, he racked up a bevy of offers, including from Power Five programs Cal, Louisville and West Virginia, before committing to Georgia as a walk-on.

Moran, who redshirted as a freshman in 2016, was a member of the Bulldogs during their historic 2017 campaign. That year, Georgia won its first SEC title since 2005 and received its first ever College Football Playoff appearance in the school's first Rose Bowl since the 1942 season.

He was also part of the 2018 and 2019 Bulldog squads, which earned invites to the Sugar Bowl in back-to-back years. Off the field, Moran, who earned his undergraduate degree in finance, was a multiple-time J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Honor Roll member at Georgia, finishing the 2019 spring semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Moran's addition brings the Aggies' 2020 signing class to 23.
