LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State volleyball team earned a United States Marine Corps and American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 season, the AVCA announced on Monday.
This is the third-consecutive season in which the Aggies have received the award. The award was started during the 1992-93 academic year and honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintain a 3.30 cumulative team GPA. Â
NM State also dominated on the court in 2019, finishing up with a 27-4 record and a perfect 16-0 Western Athletic Conference record. The Aggies won the WAC Tournament and played in the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year.
