PHOENIX – Due to a positive COVID-19 test within the NM State women's basketball program, team activity has been paused, New Mexico State announced on Sunday, Jan. 17.  
 
The Aggies learned of the positive test on Sunday afternoon from tests performed on Sunday, Jan. 17. Since the beginning of November, all Tier One persons within the program have received three COVID-19 tests per week.  
 
NM State currently holds a 1-1 record in Western Athletic Conference Play following the opening weekend of WAC action.
