DENVER – After earning its third-straight WAC regular-season title, the New Mexico State volleyball team landed four names on the list of All-WAC teams to conclude the Fall 2021 regular season.

Upon posting an impressive hitting percentage of .407 to lead the WAC while averaging 2.05 kills per set, senior middle blocker Lia Mosher garnered First Team All-WAC honors for the second time in her career. The Ruidoso, N.M., native recorded a hitting percentage of .400 or better in 15 matches this season, including a season-high .889 in a 3-0 sweep of Marist on Aug. 28. Mosher also ranked third in solo blocks per set (1.00) against conference opponents.

Joining Mosher on the All-WAC First Team is senior right side Shaney Lipscomb. In her final season as an Aggie, Lipscomb ranked among the top-10 in the conference in both hitting percentage (6th, .326) and kills per set (10th, 2.88). She posted a career-best in kills twice this season as she recorded 17 kills in the season-opener against UC Davis and matched that number in a meeting with California Baptist on Oct. 2.

The final Aggie earning First Team All-WAC recognition is junior outside hitter Katie Birtcil, coming off a year in which she ranked seventh in the WAC with 3.62 kills per set. Her season hitting percentage of .291 was also good for 13th in the WAC. Birtcil's season-high of 25 kills came in the final week of regular season action against rival UTEP. On the year, she reached 20-plus kills in five separate matches. She also ranked second in total points in WAC play (272.0) and third in points per set against WAC opponents (4.9).

Senior setter Carly Aigner-Swesey added to the list of Aggies receiving awards as she was named Second Team All-WAC after ranking second in the league in assists per set in WAC play, averaging 10.33 assists across 14 matches. Her total assist mark of 568 was also 85 assists better than anyone else in conference play. The Wrightwood, Calif., native tallied 50-plus assists three times in league play with her top outing coming against California Baptist when she recorded 58 assists. Aigner-Swesey was also an instrumental piece in helping the Aggies lead the WAC in hitting percentage with a mark of .262 on the season.

"We're really proud of them," Head Coach Mike Jordan commented. "They've worked hard and developed into really good offensive players."

The WAC West Division Regular Season Champions now look to capture their sixth WAC Tournament Championship in program history as they host the WAC Tournament in the Pan American Center beginning tomorrow. First serve for the Aggies quarterfinal matchup with No. 7 Utah Valley is set for 7 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Nov. 18. Fans can catch all the action from this week's WAC Tournament live on ESPN+.
