Aggies Fall in Orlando

| By:
Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - In a game that was interrupted by an hour-long weather delay, the Aggies (1-4) were unable to slow down the #24 UCF Knights (4-1) in an 18-1 loss at the UCF Softball Complex Friday night in Orlando, Fla.

The Aggies would strike first in the game thanks to an UCF error that would score redshirt freshman Matalasi Faapito. The Knights would respond with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the first inning. The game would then be delayed after the top of the second inning with the Knights leading 4-1. The Knights would come out firing after the delay scoring at least four runs in the next three innings.

Faapito would be the bright spot for the Aggies, as she went 2-for-3 on the night.

The Aggies will be back in action tomorrow against the Knights in game two of the three-game series. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
